CULTIVATE BACKGROUND: Sustainable Ireland Cooperative Society (t/a Cultivate) are one of the pioneers of the sustainability sector in Ireland. We have been advocating and supporting sustainable communities for almost 20 years and offer a rich selection of programmes that ensure greater awareness, capacity and recognition for community-led initiatives focused on climate and resilience.

CONVERGENCE BACKGROUND: Since its beginning in 2000 the Convergence Festival has brought people and ideas together and featured some of the most inspiring sustainability thinkers and doers both from Ireland and abroad. The first Convergence Sustainable Living Festival in Dublin’s Temple Bar Cultural Quarter in 2000 Included talks, workshops and networking for people, communities and organisations interested in the potential of sustainable communities and green livelihoods. We continue to run Convergence, now the longest running annual series of events on sustainability in Ireland, bringing together leading edge ideas, thinkers and themes. The 2019 Convergence will bring key people and sectors together to explore a collaborative and participatory approach to climate action (SDG 13) and partnerships (SDG 17), and will facilitate increased cooperation and stronger relationships between different sectors and stakeholders.
